It delights my soul to give away what I have owned,
My soul delights in freely giving what I own,
And to open my hand, giving what has gathered in my grasp.
And reaching out my hand to all my wealth amassed,
وَلَمand did not أُبقِI keep back بَعضَsome of المالِthe wealth إِلّاexcept لِأَنَّنيbecause I

I have kept back some wealth only because
I keep some riches only for the sake of pride
I rejoice in the protection it affords my honor [wording uncertain].
In shielding my good name from any breath miscast.
