شَهِدتُ بِأَنّي عَبدُ مَغناكُمُ الَّذي

شَهِدتُ بِأَنّي عَبدُ مَغناكُمُ الَّذي

عَلى بابِكُم أَرضى حِجابَكُمُ عَنّي

عَلى بابِكُم أَرضى حِجابَكُمُ عَنّي

I have borne witness that I am the servant of your abode, who

I bear witness that I am a slave made blissful by You

at your door is content with your remaining veiled from me.

Who at Your door am pleased with Your veil against me.

فَإِن شَنَّعَ الأَعداءُ عَنّي بِضِدِّهِ

فَإِن شَنَّعَ الأَعداءُ عَنّي بِضِدِّهِ

فَلا تَشهَدوا إِلّا بِمَسموعِكُم مِنّي

فَلا تَشهَدوا إِلّا بِمَسموعِكُم مِنّي

So if enemies slander me with claims to the contrary,

So if enemies slander me with the contrary,

then testify only to what you have heard from me.

Do not bear witness save to what You hear from me.
