ما زِلتُ أَعهَدُ مِنكَ وُدّاً صافِياً

وَمَواثِقاً مَأمونَةَ الأَسبابِ

وَمَواثِقاً مَأمونَةَ الأَسبابِ

I have always known pure affection from you,

I still expect pure affection from you

And pledges whose bonds are secure.

And trusted pacts of firm cause

وَأَرى مَلالَكَ بَينَهُنَّ كَأَنَّهُ

وَأَرى مَلالَكَ بَينَهُنَّ كَأَنَّهُ

حَرفٌ تَغَيَّرَ في سُطورِ كِتابِ

حَرفٌ تَغَيَّرَ في سُطورِ كِتابِ

And I see your weariness among them, as though it were

And I see your boredom among them as if
