1. أتَتك أبا عامر وردة

    يُذكِّرك المسكُ أنفاسَها

    A rose has come to you, Abu Amir;

    Musk reminds you of her breaths.

  2. كعذراءَ أبصرَها مُبصِرٌ

    فَغَطَّت بأكمامها رَاسَها

    Like a maiden whom an onlooker saw,

    So she covered her head with her sleeves.
