لقد شادَ الخديوي مهرجاناً

أضاء الكونَ من سامي مناره

The Khedive has indeed established a festival,

The Khedive held a splendid festival

Which lit the universe from its lofty beacon.

That lit up the universe from its lofty minaret

له صيتٌ به الركبان سارتْ

له صيتٌ به الركبان سارتْ

لهذا أرخوه بافتخاره

لهذا أرخوه بافتخاره

Its fame has traveled with the riders;

It gained fame, travelers spread word of it

So record its date in its glory.

For this I proudly celebrate it
