1. روضةٌ بالحسن غِنَا

    في رباها الطيرُ غَنَّى

    A garden rich in beauty,

    In its hills the birds sang.

  2. تخطبُ الظبى الأغنا

    وسواه لم يَحزه

    It woos the soft-voiced gazelle,

    And none but him has won it.

  3. وبها أبهجُ قصرِ

    شِيد للعليا بمصر

    And within it is the most splendid palace,

    Built for exalted glory in Egypt.

  4. حُسنه مفردٌ عصري

    قلْ لإبراهيم جُزْه

    Its beauty is unique in my age;

    Say to Ibrahim: pass through it.

  5. يا فتى من نسلِ أحمد

    كم خصالٍ فيك تُحمدْ

    O youth of Ahmad's lineage,

    How many qualities in you earn praise!

  6. لك درُّ العقد مفرد

    كنزُ درٍ فاكتنزه

    Yours are the necklace's peerless pearls,

    A treasure of pearls—so treasure it.

  7. لك بالأفراح عرسُ

    كله حظٌ وأنسُ

    Yours is a wedding amid rejoicing,

    All of it good fortune and delight.

  8. كم به صنفٌ وجنسُ

    بالتهاني فاعتززه

    How many kinds and sorts it holds!

    So take pride in it amid congratulations.

  9. فنديمُ الأنس صَافي

    لك بالراح سُلافا

    For the boon companion of merriment is sincere,

    With the choicest wine for you.

  10. زمنُ الاسعادِ وافى

    فانتهبه وانتهزه

    The time of happiness has arrived,

    So seize it and make the most of it.

  11. قَدمٌ في المجد أرْسَخ

    علمٌ في السعد أشْمخ

    A foot more firmly rooted in glory,

    A loftier banner in good fortune;

  12. ومقامُ العزّ أرخ

    بختُ إبراهيمَ يَزهو

    And record the date of the station of honor:

    Ibrahim's fortune shines.
