I grew weary and became a hostage to my bed,

because of my people's wrongdoing and financial burdens,

and because of foolish judgment after sound reason,

and disparaging right guidance without understanding.

Had my people obeyed the forbearing man,

they would not have transgressed or done wrong.

But my people obeyed the misguided,

until the people of blood were confounded.

So the fool ruined the forbearing man's counsel,

and the affair fell into disorder and was not settled.
