عيسى بنطق المدح حتى لو أنه

تكلف حمد الله ضاقت مذاهبه

Even if Eisa were to speak praise,

Though thanking God his ways would grow constrained,

ضنين بلفظ الشكر يحسب انه

إذا جاد بالشين استفاضت مواهبه

Stingy with words of gratitude he’d be,

Believing gifts pour forth when “sh” sounds reign.
