Qays was ready to throw himself down
From the peak of a rugged mountain
No wonder that for a man love is deadly
Tumbling him every way from side to side
Layla's love anchored in him and melted him
And who can endure the burden of passion?
Serving him the cup of death before its time
And admitting him to the dust before he dies
