Is it not true, servants of God, that I no longer watch

The caravans one day and their dusty banners.

It is as if whenever a rider passes

The wing of a soaring eagle heading for its nest.

When a group travels towards Yamaamah,

Passion calls you and your heart rejoices at the mention.

O rider of the howdah, you remain surrendered,

And you still fear the uncertainty of events.

When you come to the place, acclaim its atmosphere,

You will be saturated with the dripping of rainwater.

For you are from a valley coming back to me

Even if you do not increase except in remembrance.

Perhaps He who ordains affairs with His knowledge

Will one day turn me back to it as destined.

Then an eye will relax that does not tire of crying

And a heart will rest that scolding does not calm.
