أذنبٌ علينا ستم عروةَ خالَهُ

بقرةَ أحساءِ ويوماً ببديدِ

ʿUrwa wronged us by reviling his maternal uncle—

Is ʿUrwah’s [insulting?] his maternal uncle a sin laid upon us—

at Qarrat Aḥsāʾ, and one day at Budayd.

هلم الينا نكفكَ الأمرَ كله

هلم الينا نكفكَ الأمرَ كله

فعالاً وإمساناً وإن شئت فابعدِ

فعالاً وإمساناً وإن شئت فابعدِ

Come to us; we will take the whole affair off your hands,

Come to us; we will handle the whole matter for you,

in action and in staying into the evening; and if you wish, then keep away.

In deeds and [unclear word]; and if you wish, keep away.
