للقلب عيون مركبة

وله مجسات تستشعر

وفم يتكلم ..،

and a mouth that speaks.

للقلب مزارع وحقول

غابات ونخيل ..،

The heart has farms and fields,

forests and palm trees,

وأسوار بمزاغل

القلب شاعر

and walls with arrow slits.

The heart is a poet,

وفنان ..،

القلب يبكي ويضحك

and an artist.

The heart weeps and laughs.

إن غضب

The heart...

if it grows angry,

فاحذروه..!

وإن فرِحَ

then beware of it!

And if it rejoices,

فارقصوا معه

وصفقوا إن ترنّم انشودة العشق ...!!

then dance with it,

and clap if it sings the song of passionate love...!
