يا مُفرَداً كَمُلت محاسنُ ذاته

يا مُفرَداً كَمُلت محاسنُ ذاته

لُطفاً فَفاقَ بِها عَلى أَترابهِ

لُطفاً فَفاقَ بِها عَلى أَترابهِ

O peerless one, whose own beauties reached perfection

in grace, and who thereby surpassed his peers.

البدرُ أَنتَ فَإِن يَكُن لَكَ مُشبها

البدرُ أَنتَ فَإِن يَكُن لَكَ مُشبها

فَمِن العَجائب وَحدة المُتَشابِهِ

فَمِن العَجائب وَحدة المُتَشابِهِ

You are the full moon; if it resembles you,

then wondrous is the oneness of those alike.
