أَلا يا قادِماً بِالخَير يَسعى

أَلا يا قادِماً بِالخَير يَسعى

بَلَغت بعزِّ مقدمك السُعودا

بَلَغت بعزِّ مقدمك السُعودا

Lo, O you who come hastening with goodness,

O you who comes seeking goodness,

I have attained good fortune through the glory of your arrival.

You have attained glory with your arrival.

لَقَد عَوّدتنا التَشريف قَبلاً

لَقَد عَوّدتنا التَشريف قَبلاً

وَجُدت بِهِ لَنا كَرَماً وَجودا

وَجُدت بِهِ لَنا كَرَماً وَجودا

You have accustomed us to such honor before,

You had accustomed us to honor before,

And bestowed it upon us in generosity and bounty.

And were generous and kind to us.

فَإِن تَك غِبت عَن بَصَر وَسَمع

فَإِن تَك غِبت عَن بَصَر وَسَمع

فَما زالَت لَكَ الأَحشا شُهودا

فَما زالَت لَكَ الأَحشا شُهودا

So if you have been absent from sight and hearing,

If you were absent from our sight and hearing,

Yet our hearts have remained witnesses to you.

You were still present to our hearts.

تُراقب مِنكَ طَلعة شَمس فَضلٍ

تُراقب مِنكَ طَلعة شَمس فَضلٍ

وَإِن بَلغ المَدى أَمَداً بَعيدا

وَإِن بَلغ المَدى أَمَداً بَعيدا

They watch for a sun of bounty to rise from you,

We watch the rising sun of your grace,

Even if the interval stretches into the distant future.

Though it reaches far in its course.

وَما غَربت عَن الأَبصار شَمس

وَما غَربت عَن الأَبصار شَمس

فَشَكّ الناظِرون بِأَن تَعودا

فَشَكّ الناظِرون بِأَن تَعودا

No sun has ever set out of sight

The sun never sets from our sight,

And left its watchers doubting that it would return.

Lest those watching think it has returned.

فَدم بِالعزّ وَالإقبال وَاِسلم

فَدم بِالعزّ وَالإقبال وَاِسلم

فَإِنّ اللَه قَد خَذلَ الحَسودا

فَإِنّ اللَه قَد خَذلَ الحَسودا

So live on in glory and prosperity, and remain safe,

So stay with honor and welcome, and be safe,

For God has indeed forsaken the envious one.

For God has forsaken the envious.
