بادر إِلى رَوضة الآداب مُجتنياً

بادر إِلى رَوضة الآداب مُجتنياً

زَهر الفَضائل مِن قاصٍ وَمِن داني

زَهر الفَضائل مِن قاصٍ وَمِن داني

Hasten to the garden of letters, gathering

the blossoms of virtue from those far and near.

وَاِرشف كُوؤس طلا آدابها طَرَباً

وَاِرشف كُوؤس طلا آدابها طَرَباً

فَمجمع الأنس في رَوض السُكر دانِ

فَمجمع الأنس في رَوض السُكر دانِ

And sip in rapture cups of the wine of its literary arts,

for the meeting place of delight in intoxication’s garden is near.
