نحن قومٌ للحاتميّ عبيدٌ

نحن قومٌ للحاتميّ عبيدٌ

ولنا القرب بانتساب المحبّهْ

We are a people who serve al-Hatimi.

We are a people enslaved to Al-Hatemi

And nearness is ours through the bond of love.

And we are related to him through loving devotion

وعلينا له الولا حيث أنا

وعلينا له الولا حيث أنا

ليس فينا لغيره وزن حبّهْ

ليس فينا لغيره وزن حبّهْ

And we owe him allegiance, for we

And we owe him unwavering loyalty wherever I am

Hold not a grain's weight of love for anyone else.

For none but he is worthy of our love

وهو معنا بسرّه حيث سرنا

وهو معنا بسرّه حيث سرنا

مثلما الحبّ قد سرى في الأحبّهْ

مثلما الحبّ قد سرى في الأحبّهْ

And he is with us through his secret wherever we travel,

And he is with us in our secret thoughts wherever we turn

Just as love has coursed through loved ones.

Just as love has crept into the hearts of lovers

يا لها من معيّةٍ أين كنّا

يا لها من معيّةٍ أين كنّا

واتّجهنا والمرء مع من أحبّهْ

واتّجهنا والمرء مع من أحبّهْ

Oh, what companionship, wherever we may be

What blessed company wherever we are

And wherever we turn—a person is with the one he loves.

And a man will incline towards whom he loves
