Return, in love, to the clear wine of my jar;
My inner self is pure and clear,
For its limpid draught has grown clear.
For its turbidity has settled,

And recount love, friend, on my behalf;
And the desires of passion revived me,
For its men have bowed before me.
For its men have helped me.

And the way of passionate love is my art;
The path of love refined me,
Its baggage has been set down with me.
Its burdens unloaded from me.

Speak ecstatically in passion, for I
Passionately lovestruck am I,
Am the yearning lover's refuge.
For the beloved summoned me.

The leader of whoever seeks to love.
A leader for those who love.

You shall be given clarified wine to drink.

If he passes by, union with him will be sweet.
If union is realized.

Love is not attained by wishing;
Longing is no use,
For love is hard to attain.

Melt in passion for beauty,
And yearn whenever it appears.
And stay up if it shows itself.

Sleep soundly if passion comes by
And exchange sleep for wakefulness.
And replace sleep with wakefulness.

Proclaim this, do not hide it,
When his beauty is revealed.
If his beauty reveals itself.
