يا ربّ قد عجز الطبيب فداوني

يا ربّ قد عجز الطبيب فداوني

بخفيّ لطفك واشفني يا شافي

بخفيّ لطفك واشفني يا شافي

O Lord, the physician has proved helpless; so treat me

O Lord, the doctor has failed so heal me

with Your unseen kindness, and heal me, O Healer.

With Your subtle kindness, O Healer

أنا من ضيوفك قد حُسبتُ وإنّ مِن

أنا من ضيوفك قد حُسبتُ وإنّ مِن

شيم الكريم البرَّ للأضياف

شيم الكريم البرَّ للأضياف

I have been counted among Your guests, and surely among

I am counted among Your guests, and it is

the generous one's virtues is kindness to guests.

The way of the generous to be kind to guests

لا تحرمنّي نيل عفوك واسقني

لا تحرمنّي نيل عفوك واسقني

من حضرة القدس الرحيقَ الصافي

من حضرة القدس الرحيقَ الصافي

Do not deprive me of attaining Your pardon, and give me to drink

Do not deny me Your pardon, and give me to drink

the pure nectar from the sacred Presence.

The pure nectar from the abode of holiness

واجبر لكسري إنّني بك واثقٌ

واجبر لكسري إنّني بك واثقٌ

وبك اكتفيت وأنت أنت الكافي

وبك اكتفيت وأنت أنت الكافي

And mend my brokenness, for I trust in You;

Bind up my brokenness, for in You I trust

and in You I have found sufficiency; and You—You are the All-Sufficient.

In You I suffice, and You are the All-Sufficient

حاشاك ربّي أن تخيّبني وقد

حاشاك ربّي أن تخيّبني وقد

أعطيتَ ما أرجوه منك خلافي

أعطيتَ ما أرجوه منك خلافي

Far be it from You, my Lord, to disappoint me, when You have already

Far be it, my Lord, that You would disappoint me, though

given others besides me what I hope for from You.

You have given what I hoped from You, contrary to me

وتوسّلي فيما أروم محمّدٌ

وتوسّلي فيما أروم محمّدٌ

خير الأنام وسيّد الأشراف

خير الأنام وسيّد الأشراف

And my means of approach in what I seek is Muhammad,

And in what I intend, Muhammad intercedes-

the best of creation and master of the noble.

The best of mankind, and master of nobles
