قد قال محيي الدين في أبياته

قد قال محيي الدين في أبياته

وهو الإمام لنا الهمام الأقربُ

وهو الإمام لنا الهمام الأقربُ

Muhyi al-Din has said in his verses—

Al-Muhyi al-Din said in his verses

And he is our imam, the noble one, the nearest—

He is the Imam for us, the closest guide

البرق شرقيّاً رآه فحنّ لل

البرق شرقيّاً رآه فحنّ لل

شرق الّذي هو للبصائر مطلب

شرق الّذي هو للبصائر مطلب

He saw the lightning in the east, so he yearned for the

He saw the lightning flash in the east so he yearned

East, which is the goal of inner vision.

For the east which is the goal of insights

ذاتٌ هي الشمس الّتي تملا الملا

ذاتٌ هي الشمس الّتي تملا الملا

ولنورها في كلّ وقتٍ كوكب

ولنورها في كلّ وقتٍ كوكب

An essence—the sun that fills the world,

It has an essence which is the sun filling the horizons

And its light has a star at every moment.

And for its light at all times there is a planet

للشرق لا للغرب نسبة شيخنا

للشرق لا للغرب نسبة شيخنا

وأنا الّذي أبداً إليه أُنسب

وأنا الّذي أبداً إليه أُنسب

Our shaykh's affiliation is with the East, not the West,

No relation to the west for our Shaykh

And I am the one forever affiliated with him.

And I who is forever attributed to him

ولأجل هذا السرّ قال وشمسُنا

ولأجل هذا السرّ قال وشمسُنا

أبداً على فَلَكِ العلا لا تغرب

أبداً على فَلَكِ العلا لا تغرب

And because of this mystery he said: “And our sun

And for this secret he said and our sun

Never sets upon the sphere of exaltation.”

Forever in the orbit of the Most High, never sets
