بمدح آل النبي ماذا يفوه فمي

بمدح آل النبي ماذا يفوه فمي

أو كيف يجري بما اختصّوا به قلمي

أو كيف يجري بما اختصّوا به قلمي

In praise of the Prophet’s family, what can my mouth utter?

With what words should my mouth praise the Prophet's family?

Or how can my pen flow with what is theirs alone?

Or how can my pen flow with what they were distinguished by?

فالله أثنى عليهم في الكتاب وجب

فالله أثنى عليهم في الكتاب وجب

رائيل قد كان خدّاماً لجدّهمِ

رائيل قد كان خدّاماً لجدّهمِ

For God praised them in the Book, and

For God praised them in the Book, so it is a must

Gabriel was indeed a devoted servant to their grandfather.

That Gabriel had been their grandfather's servant.

طوبى لهم سادة سادوا الورى فلذا

طوبى لهم سادة سادوا الورى فلذا

نور النبوّة بادٍ في وجوههم

نور النبوّة بادٍ في وجوههم

Blessed are they, lords who held sway over humankind; and so

Blessed are they, masters who ruled the land, so

The light of prophethood is manifest in their faces.

فالله أرجو بهم نيل المرام ومن

فالله أرجو بهم نيل المرام ومن

لا ينتمي لعلاهم فهو في ظلم

لا ينتمي لعلاهم فهو في ظلم

So I hope, through them, to obtain my desire from God; and whoever

So I hope to attain my goals through them, and whoever

Does not attach himself to their eminence is in darkness.

Does not belong to their nobility is in darkness.

فهم شموسٌ بأفق الكون طالعةٌ

من لا يرى ذاك عن سبل الرشاد عمي

For they are suns rising on the horizon of the universe.

Whoever does not see that is blind to the paths of right guidance.
