بادر إلى راحٍ تزيل الهموم

بادر إلى راحٍ تزيل الهموم

وغب بها عن شرب بنت الكروم

وغب بها عن شرب بنت الكروم

Hasten to a wine that dispels cares,

Hasten to comfort that dispels worries,

and through it become oblivious to drinking the daughter of the vines,

And become intoxicated with it instead of the daughter of vines,

واخرج عن الموهوم

واخرج عن الموهوم

راح إذا ما أشرقت في الكؤوس

راح إذا ما أشرقت في الكؤوس

and leave the illusory behind.

And come out from imagining,

A wine: whenever it shines in the cups,

Comfort, when it shines in cups,

من طيب رياها يداوي الكلوم

من طيب رياها يداوي الكلوم

رحيقها المختوم

رحيقها المختوم

through the sweetness of its fragrance, wounds are healed by

From the goodness of its scent healing worries,

its sealed nectar.

Its sealed nectar,

فاستجنها من شيخ هذا الزمان

فاستجنها من شيخ هذا الزمان

السيّد البكري قطب العلوم

So gather it from the shaykh of this age:

So seek it from the shaykh of this time,

Sayyid al-Bakri, the pole of the sciences,

The master, the eminent, pole of knowledge,

الظاهر المكتوم

الظاهر المكتوم

واسأل مدى الدهر صلاة السلام

واسأل مدى الدهر صلاة السلام

manifest yet concealed.

The manifest, the hidden,

And ask, throughout all time, for the blessing of Peace

And ask throughout time prayers of peace

على نبي صحبه كالنجوم

على نبي صحبه كالنجوم

وفضله معلوم

وفضله معلوم

upon a prophet whose companions are like stars,

Upon a prophet whose companions are like stars,

and whose excellence is known.

And his virtue is known.
