مَا نَبَا سَيْفِي  وَلا  دَهْرِي  أَبَى

مَا نَبَا سَيْفِي وَلا دَهْرِي أَبَى

مُذْ تَخِذْتُ اللَّهَ فَذًّا مَأْرَبَا

مُذْ تَخِذْتُ اللَّهَ فَذًّا مَأْرَبَا

My sword has never failed me, nor has fate opposed me,

My sword has not failed, nor has my fortune denied me,

since I made God alone my single desire.

Since I took God as my sole aim,

وَتَوَجَّهْتُ     إِلَى      كُرْسِيِّهِ

وَتَوَجَّهْتُ إِلَى كُرْسِيِّهِ

أَرْمُقُ  العَرْشَ،  وَتَقْدِيسِي  رَبَا

أَرْمُقُ العَرْشَ، وَتَقْدِيسِي رَبَا

And I turned toward His Seat—His Kursi—

And turned toward His Seat.

gazing upon the Throne as my glorification rose,

I gaze at the Throne, and my reverence has grown,

مُسْلِمًا جِسْمِي وَرُوحِي لِلسَّنَا

مُسْلِمًا جِسْمِي وَرُوحِي لِلسَّنَا

وَخَلايَايَ     تَعِيشُ     الطَّرَبَا

وَخَلايَايَ تَعِيشُ الطَّرَبَا

surrendering my body and my spirit to the radiance,

Surrendering my body and my soul to the radiance,

while every cell of mine lives the rapture.

And my cells live in ecstasy.

غَمَرَ  الأَكْوَانَ   بِالنَّشْوَةِ   فِي

غَمَرَ الأَكْوَانَ بِالنَّشْوَةِ فِي

لَيْلَةِ   القَدْرِ،   سُمُوًّا   مُجْتَبَى

لَيْلَةِ القَدْرِ، سُمُوًّا مُجْتَبَى

It flooded all the worlds with ecstasy on

He flooded the worlds with rapture on

the Night of Decree, in a chosen ascent.

The Night of Decree, in chosen exaltation.

وَتَجَلَّى النُّورُ  فِي  قَلْبِي  رِضًا

وَتَجَلَّى النُّورُ فِي قَلْبِي رِضًا

فَاضَ إِنْعَامًا..  وَأَسْدَى  وَحَبَا

فَاضَ إِنْعَامًا.. وَأَسْدَى وَحَبَا

And the Light manifested in my heart as contentment,

And the light shone forth in my heart as contentment;

then overflowed in bounty... conferred and bestowed.

It overflowed with bounty, bestowed favors, and gave gifts.
