مُهفهفة الكشحينِ مَحطوطة المطا

كَهمّ الفتى في كلّ مبدىً ومحضرِ

Slender at the flanks, smooth of back,

The one with tousled locks placed atop the pillow

Like a young man's wish, in every desert camp and settlement.

Is like a young man present at every watering hole and dwelling

لَها كفلٌ كالدعصِ لبّده الندى

لَها كفلٌ كالدعصِ لبّده الندى

وَثغرٌ نقيٌّ كالأقاحي المنوَّرِ

وَثغرٌ نقيٌّ كالأقاحي المنوَّرِ

She has buttocks like a sand dune packed firm by the dew,

With a cheek like an anemone bedewed with dew

And a spotless mouth, like daisies in bloom.

And a pure mouth like a river pebble glistening
