ظلمتُ الناسَ فاعتَرفوا بِظُلمي

ظلمتُ الناسَ فاعتَرفوا بِظُلمي

فَتُبتُ فأزمَعوا أَن يَظلِموني

فَتُبتُ فأزمَعوا أَن يَظلِموني

I wronged people, and they acknowledged my wrongdoing.

I have oppressed people and they admitted my wrong

Then I repented, and they resolved to wrong me.

So I repented and they intended to wrong me

فَلَستُ بِصابرٍ إِلا قَليلاً

فَلَستُ بِصابرٍ إِلا قَليلاً

فإن لَم يَنتهوا راجَعت دَيني

فإن لَم يَنتهوا راجَعت دَيني

So I shall be patient only a little while.

I cannot be patient except a little

And if they do not desist, I shall return to my old ways.

If they do not stop I will return to my religion
