هَبَّت سَحَراً لتوقظَ النُوّاما
The east wind teased the garden in passing;
In the garden the morning breeze stirs, awakening,
It blew before dawn to awaken the sleepers.
Blowing at dawn to rouse those asleep,

So it set the spreading tree dancing, and the birds sang;
The birds in the branches shook off drowsiness,
Enraptured, it shook the bud sheaths from the blossoms.
Scattering fragrance from blossoms in bloom.
