The breath of dawn came with the rose's fragrance.
The dawn breathed scent into roses
And the rose's face stirred the nightingale to longing.
The bulbul chirped to greet the rose

If its branch grows tipsy and bears a goblet,
If its branch should be adorned and bear a cup
No wonder, for the rose's intoxicating power is in its head.
No wonder - roses crowned its head
