Since my night signaled its length with its tail

أَحتاج إِلى الوَصلِ وَعَطفٍ مِنها

أَحتاج إِلى الوَصلِ وَعَطفٍ مِنها

كَي أَجعَلَ صُدرَةً قَميصَ اللَيلِ

كَي أَجعَلَ صُدرَةً قَميصَ اللَيلِ

I need union and affection from her,

I need her affection and kindness

So I can turn the night's shirt into a waistcoat.

So I make her chest the shirt of the night
