She said, her ardent lover’s heart stolen away,
She said, while her heart's passion was stolen away,
and patience overcome by the shock of love:
And patience, to the shock of love, had yielded the day:

“Leave off sipping my mouth, and do not be distressed;
"Leave my lips alone, and seek not to stop my tears;
leave it; approach—in this, what is sought has grown great.”
For he whom I love has far, far away disappeared."
