أَدّي خبري خُصِصتِ بالأَلطافِ
O wind, whenever you intend to roam,
O breeze, when did you intend to wander,
Carry my news—you have been favored with kindness.
Deliver my news, you were endowed with kindness,

Say—and take hold of the branches of al-Ghawr’s bān tree—
Say, and take the branches of Bana al-Ghur,
“I do not turn away from your swaying or from my plea for affection.”
I do not resist your inclination, nor need persuasion.
