  1. يا قَلبُ قَدِ اِستَباكَ بِالتَجميشِ

    في حالك ما اِحتَجت إِلى تَفنيشِ

    O heart, he has captivated you with flirtatious caresses.

    In your plight, you had no need of scrutiny.

  2. إِيّاكَ وَطرفَه وَصُدغَيهِ وَلا

    يوقع بِكَ في الفُتور وَالتَشويشِ

    Beware his glance and his two sidelocks, lest

    He cast you into languor and confusion.
