  1. أَلفاظيَ في نِهايَةِ الإيجازِ

    تَنساق صُدورُها إِلى الأَعجازِ

    My words are of the utmost concision;

    Their opening hemistichs flow toward their closing ones.

  2. قَد قَيَّدَ شارِدَ المَعاني كَلِمٌ

    حَرَّكتُ بِها سلسلةَ الإِعجازِ

    Words have fettered the elusive among meanings;

    With them I have set the chain of inimitability in motion.
