The darkness of insight in souls causes

their missteps, and their stumbling leads to their fall.

Their stumbling and falling due to their downfall

وسُقوطُها مَندُوحةٌ لمماتِها

وسُقوطُها مَندُوحةٌ لمماتِها

ومَماتُها مستلزمٌ لِهُبوطِها

ومَماتُها مستلزمٌ لِهُبوطِها

And their fall makes room for their death;

And their downfall necessitates their demise

and their death entails their descent.

And their demise entails their descent

وهُبوطُها مُتَدارِكٌ لِعَذابِها

وهُبوطُها مُتَدارِكٌ لِعَذابِها

وعَذابُها مُستدرِكٌ لِقُنوطِها

وعَذابُها مُستدرِكٌ لِقُنوطِها

And their descent overtakes their torment;

And their descent averts their torment

and their torment catches up with their despair.

And their torment elicits their despair
