وأَعمِدةٌ لبيتِ اللَهِ سَبعٌ

وأَعمِدةٌ لبيتِ اللَهِ سَبعٌ

هِيَ الأَسرارُ من غير اختلافِ

And seven are the pillars of God's house;

And pillars seven for God's house

They are the sacraments, without dispute:

Are mysteries without difference.

فمعموديَّةٌ لَزَمت لكُلٍّ

فمعموديَّةٌ لَزَمت لكُلٍّ

وتثبيتٌ وثوبُ الإِعترافِ

وتثبيتٌ وثوبُ الإِعترافِ

Baptism, then, is required of everyone;

Baptism binds to each one;

And confirmation, and the robe of confession;

Confirmation and robe of confession;

وقُربانٌ إِلهِيٌّ طَهُورٌ

وقُربانٌ إِلهِيٌّ طَهُورٌ

كذلك مَسحةُ المَرضى التِلافِ

كذلك مَسحةُ المَرضى التِلافِ

And the divine, purifying Eucharist;

Divine Eucharist, pure;

Likewise, the anointing of the sick who are dying;

Anointing the sick for healing;

وكَهنُوتٌ وتزويجٌ حَلالٌ

وكَهنُوتٌ وتزويجٌ حَلالٌ

كتحديد الكنيسةِ غيرَ خافِ

كتحديد الكنيسةِ غيرَ خافِ

And priesthood, and lawful marriage;

Priesthood and lawful matrimony

As defined by the Church, plainly evident.

As defined by the Church without doubt.
