سَعدُ غندورَ الصَّالحُ اليومَ أمسَى

في ضريحٍ بحُكمِ ربِّ البرايا

في ضريحٍ بحُكمِ ربِّ البرايا

Today the virtuous Sa'd Ghandour has come to rest

Sa'd Ghundur, the virtuous, met his end today,

In a tomb, by decree of the Lord of creation.

Laid in a tomb by decree of the Lord of the deserts.

إن تكنْ مِن مؤرِّخيهِ فحرِّرْ

إن تكنْ مِن مؤرِّخيهِ فحرِّرْ

صارَ سعدُ السُّعودِ سَعدَ الخَبايا

صارَ سعدُ السُّعودِ سَعدَ الخَبايا
