اليومَ قُبَّةُ بيتِ القدسِ قد رُفعَتْ

اليومَ قُبَّةُ بيتِ القدسِ قد رُفعَتْ

نظيرَ قُبَّةِ عهدِ اللهِ في القِدَمِ

نظيرَ قُبَّةِ عهدِ اللهِ في القِدَمِ

Today the dome of the Holy House has been raised,

Today the dome of Jerusalem's House has been raised

like the tabernacle of God's covenant in ancient times.

Like the dome of the Covenant of old

هاتيكَ تُهدَى الضَّحايا تحتَها بدَمٍ

هاتيكَ تُهدَى الضَّحايا تحتَها بدَمٍ

وهكذا تحتَ هذِهْ دونَ سَفْكِ دَمِ

وهكذا تحتَ هذِهْ دونَ سَفْكِ دَمِ

Under that one, sacrifices are offered with blood,

Beneath it sacrifices are offered with blood

and likewise under this one, without shedding blood.

While beneath this one without shedding blood

مِظلَّةٌ فوقَها قامتْ تُظلِّلُها

مِظلَّةٌ فوقَها قامتْ تُظلِّلُها

راياتُ أجنحةِ الأملاكِ كالخِيَمِ

راياتُ أجنحةِ الأملاكِ كالخِيَمِ

A canopy rose above it; shading it are

An awning erected over it shades it

banners of angels' wings, like tents.

جمالُها يُبهجُ الأبصارَ منظَرُهُ

جمالُها يُبهجُ الأبصارَ منظَرُهُ

وحَولَها تَطرَبُ الأسماعُ بالنَّغَمِ

The sight of its beauty delights the eyes,

Its beauty delights all who see it

and around it the ears rejoice in melody.

أكرِمْ برافِعِها أنطونَ مِن رَجُلٍ

للشامِ يُنسَبُ محموداً بكلِّ فَمِ

How noble a man is Anton, who raised it,

Honor its raiser, Antun, a man

who hails from al-Sham, praised by every mouth!

في بابِ سيِّدةِ الأبكارِ قامَ كما

أرَّختُ يرجو لديها حُسنَ مُختَتَمِ
