هذا الضَّريحُ لفاضلٍ سعِدَتْ لهُ

هذا الضَّريحُ لفاضلٍ سعِدَتْ لهُ

باللهِ نفسٌ في النَّعيم تُخلَّدُ

باللهِ نفسٌ في النَّعيم تُخلَّدُ

This tomb is for a virtuous man whose soul was blessed

By God, to dwell eternally in bliss.

وعليهِ خطَّ مُؤرِّخوهُ صحيفةً

وعليهِ خطَّ مُؤرِّخوهُ صحيفةً

في جَنَّةِ الفردوسِ يوسُفُ مسعدُ

في جَنَّةِ الفردوسِ يوسُفُ مسعدُ

And upon it his chroniclers wrote an inscription:

“In the garden of Paradise is Yusuf Mas‘ad.”
