أمسىhas come to be حبيبُthe beloved of اللهِGod فيin فِردَوسِهِHis paradise
أمسى حبيبُ اللهِ في فِردَوسِهِ
فادْعُواso call upon بنيthe sons of الدَّهَّانِal-Dahhan أنto يَدَعُواleave off البُكاweeping
فادْعُوا بني الدَّهَّانِ أن يَدَعُوا البُكا
God’s beloved is now in His paradise.
So urge the sons of al-Dahhan to cease weeping.
لقدindeed اتَّكأتَyou have reclined مؤرَّخاًdated in a chronogram فيupon عَرشِهِHis throne
لقد اتَّكأتَ مؤرَّخاً في عَرشِهِ
ياO مَنyou who علىupon صدرِthe breast of المسيحِChrist قدِindeed اتكَّاhas reclined
يا مَن على صدرِ المسيحِ قدِ اتكَّا
You have indeed reclined upon His throne, as the chronogram records,
O you who have reclined upon the breast of Christ.
