اِقفِر مِن آلِ سُعدى الكَثيب

فَالسَفح من ذاتِ السَنا فَالطَلوبُ

فَالسَفح من ذاتِ السَنا فَالطَلوبُ

The dune lies desolate, bereft of Suʿda’s folk;

Home of the Sa'd tribe is the barren dune

so do the slope at Dhat al-Sana and al-Talub.

While the slopes bear acacias and meadows
