I love Qanā out of love for Hind, and I did not
I loved Qana more than the love of Hind, and I did not care
care whether God made it nearer or farther away.
Whether it was near or far, may God increase it

Lo, in the lowlands of the valley of Dhū Qanā,
Indeed, in the valleys of the land of Qana
we have a desire that deliberately drew us toward it.
We have a need that leaned towards it intentionally

Show me Qana, look at it, for I
love Qanā: indeed, I saw Hind there.
Love Qana, I saw Hind in it
