سَرى مِن بِلاد الغور حَتّى اهتَدى لَنا

سَرى مِن بِلاد الغور حَتّى اهتَدى لَنا

وَنَحنُ قَريب مِن عَموند سَوادِمَه

وَنَحنُ قَريب مِن عَموند سَوادِمَه

He journeyed by night from the lands of al-Ghawr until he found his way to us,

He journeyed from the land of Ghor until he found his way to us,

while we were near ʿAmūnd Sawādimah.

While we were near Amund, recognizing its darkness.
