غُلامانِ خاضا المَوتَ مِن كُلِّ جانِبٍ

فَآبا وَلَم يُعقَد وَراءَهُما يَدُ

فَآبا وَلَم يُعقَد وَراءَهُما يَدُ

Two youths plunged into death from every side;

Two youths faced death from every side,

so they returned, and no hand was clasped behind them.

And turned away, no hands tied behind their backs,

مَتى يَلقَيا قِرناً فَلا بُدَّ أَنَّهُ

مَتى يَلقَيا قِرناً فَلا بُدَّ أَنَّهُ

سَيَلقاهُ مَكروهٌ مِنَ المَوتِ أَسودُ

سَيَلقاهُ مَكروهٌ مِنَ المَوتِ أَسودُ

Whenever they meet an opponent, it is inevitable that

Whenever they encounter a foe, without fail,

a black calamity from death will confront him.

They shall meet an odious black death.
