And his favors teach us rhymes.

So these pearls come from those pearls.

His nature is bounty beyond compare.

His nature is an unmatched generosity

His eloquence rises above the lances.

So his eloquence transcends the highest summits

His is fair praise in every matter.

He has the finest description in all matters

Gentle of spirit, pleasing in form.

Gentle in spirit, familiar in example

له في كل فعل باع مجد

وفى الأحكام معدوم المثال

In every deed, his reach is glorious.

In every deed he has a glorious past

And in judgment, he has no equal.

And in judgments he is unparalleled

And sweet of speech, bitter to foes.

Sweet of speech though bitter to foes

True to his word in doing good.

Truthful of word in goodness of deeds

Intelligent, quick-witted, generous.

Brilliant, radiant, comforting

Praiseworthy in deed, truthful in speech.

Praiseworthy in action, honest in speech

له بأس على الأعداء نار

له طبع أرق من الزلال

له طبع أرق من الزلال

His might against enemies is fire.

He has might against enemies like fire

His nature is gentler than pure water.

His nature is gentler than fresh water

يرى الدنيا وإن عظمت وجلت

يرى الدنيا وإن عظمت وجلت

لديه أقل من شسع النعال

He deems the world, however great and grand,

He sees the world, though great and grand

Worth less to him than a sandal's thong.

As less significant than a sandal strap

Through him, generosity broke free, though it had been held captive,

Through him generosity flowed unrestrained

And miserliness became tightly tethered.

فكم لله فيه من صفات

وأخلاق خلقن من الجمال

وأخلاق خلقن من الجمال

So how many qualities God has bestowed on him,

How many virtues and manners does God possess

And virtues fashioned from beauty!

Created from the epitome of beauty

لدفع نوائب النوب العضال

Behold, O hero in whom hope is placed,

Oh hero hoped for to repel adversities

To ward off the woes of grievous calamities!

So your days continue calling you

فلا زالت لك الأيام تدعو

ولا برحت تهنيك الليالي

So may the days never cease to pray for you,

And the nights persist congratulating you
