الطَيبُ مِمّا غَنيتُ عَنهُ

الطَيبُ مِمّا غَنيتُ عَنهُ

كَفى بِقُربِ الأَميرِ طيبا

كَفى بِقُربِ الأَميرِ طيبا

Perfume is something I have no need of;

Perfume is a want I have ceased to require,

nearness to the prince is perfume enough.

For the Prince's nearness is fragrance enough.

يَبني بِهِ رَبُّنا المَعالي

يَبني بِهِ رَبُّنا المَعالي

كَما بِكُم يَغفِرُ الذُنوبا

كَما بِكُم يَغفِرُ الذُنوبا

Through him our Lord builds lofty honors,

Through him, our Lord builds the heights of glory,

just as through you He forgives sins.

Just as through you, He forgives all sins.
