I would weep for Bujayr or ʿIfāq,

I would have wept for a neighbor or a dear friend -

على المرأين اذ هلكا جميعا

for the two men, when they perished together,

For the two loved ones when they perished together,

on their account, with grief and longing.

Due to their condition, with yearning and longing.
