إذا استيقظ الغبن ضدك
وand اعوجgrows crooked وجهthe face of الطريقthe road أمامكbefore you
و اعوج وجه الطريق أمامك
if injustice awakens against you
and the face of the road grows crooked before you.

I steer the caravan of my emotions wherever I wish,
كأنas though مزاجيmy mood خادمa servant تحتunder إمرتيmy command
كأن مزاجي خادم تحت إمرتي
فقطonly غضبيmy anger قدindeed خاننيhas betrayed me فيهwith it كبحهcurbing it
فقط غضبي قد خانني فيه كبحه
as though my mood were a servant under my command.
Only with my anger has restraint betrayed me,
إذاwhen مُسَّis touched عرضيmy honor لوeven if بوخزةِby a prick إبرةِof a needle
إذا مُسَّ عرضي لو بوخزةِ إبرةِ
