ألا يا راجياً عفواً ولطفاً

ألا يا راجياً عفواً ولطفاً

بفعل البر أبشر نلت زلفى

بفعل البر أبشر نلت زلفى

Hearken, O you who hope for pardon and grace,

O you who seek forgiveness and kindness through good deeds, rejoice for you have attained nearness.

Rejoice: through doing good, you have attained nearness to God.

You have dug a well in the wilderness, and your reward from your Lord is not hidden.

لقد أحدثت بئراً في فلاةٍ

لقد أحدثت بئراً في فلاةٍ

وأجرك عند ربك ليس يخفى

وأجرك عند ربك ليس يخفى

You have indeed made a well in a desert wilderness,

You have quenched the thirst in the hearts of a people, so from the Pool of the Intercessor you shall drink.

And your reward with your Lord is not hidden.

And at its completion he inscribed: Its water is sweet and purified.

ومن عطش شفيت صدور قوم

ومن عطش شفيت صدور قوم

فمن حوض المشفع سوف تشفى

فمن حوض المشفع سوف تشفى

And you healed a people's breasts of thirst,

So from the pool of the Intercessor whose plea is accepted, you shall be healed.

وقال لدى التمام أرّخ

وقال لدى التمام أرّخ

ردوه فماءه عذب مصفى

ردوه فماءه عذب مصفى

And upon completion he said, “Record the date:

Come to it, for its water is sweet and pure.”
