فاليوم لا لهو ولا جعجعه
My hut has indeed turned into a hermitage.
My hut has now become a monastery
So today there is no revelry and no clamor,
Today there is no revelry or clamor

Nor drinking companions, for they are gone
Nor cups brimming with wine,
No longer are cups of wine imbibed

No songs or musicians to hear
To play for anyone who wishes to hear him.
Only absolute stillness prevails

Here is absolute, all-embracing stillness,
When they don their veils before Him
When they strip the veil from its face.

And whoever gave it to me to drink, and whoever diluted it with water.

It is still the same, but they have changed the packsaddle.

مقصورة عالخب والأمعه
O Habr, desist: it is a plot of land [uncertain term],
For her wheat-stalk will miss his finger
Reserved for the trickster and the yes-man.

You spoke truly: time's vicissitudes have indeed shaken him,
Protect himself from its harm, do so!
And the one who guarded him best has neglected him.
