لِلتِبرِfor gold وَالأَعداءِand enemies فيكَin you تَبارُruin
لِلتِبرِ وَالأَعداءِ فيكَ تَبارُ
In both your states—of bounty and valor—you have never ceased
In the two states of generosity and battle, there has always been
To bring bullion and enemies alike to ruin.
In you, ruin for gold and enemies.
تَهَبُّyou give away الأُلوفَthe thousands وَلاand do not تَهابُyou fear أُلوفَهُمtheir thousands
تَهَبُّ الأُلوفَ وَلا تَهابُ أُلوفَهُم
هانَbecame insignificant العَدوُّthe enemy لَدَيكَto you وَالدينارُand the dinar
هانَ العَدوُّ لَدَيكَ وَالدينارُ
You give away thousands, yet never fear their thousands;
You give away thousands and do not fear their thousands;
The foe and the dinar alike count for little with you.
The enemy and the dinar are of little account to you.
