نَور اللهُ لَكَ الأَرضَ سَقى اللهُ ثَرَاكَ

عَظمَ اللهُ لَكَ الأَجرَ علَى الله جَزاكَ

May God illuminate the earth for you; may God water your soil.

God lit the earth for you, God watered your soil

May God magnify your reward; your recompense rests with God.

God made your reward great, from God your recompense

طَالَ ما آنَسَنَا القَلبُ جَعَلنَاهُ فِدَاكَ

طَالَ ما آنَسَنَا القَلبُ جَعَلنَاهُ فِدَاكَ

حِينَمَا حَلَّ نَفَى الغَيرُ عَن القَلبِ هَواكَ

حِينَمَا حَلَّ نَفَى الغَيرُ عَن القَلبِ هَواكَ

Long has the heart comforted us; we have made it a ransom for you.

Longing filled our hearts, we made them sacrifices for you

When it took abode, the other banished your love from the heart.

When others were banished from the heart, its passion was you

فإذا شِئتَ رَفِيقَاً ألَمُ العِشقِ كَفَاكَ

فإذا شِئتَ رَفِيقَاً ألَمُ العِشقِ كَفَاكَ

فَازَ من نَالَ صَفَا الوَصْلِ وما خَابَ سِواكَ

فَازَ من نَالَ صَفَا الوَصْلِ وما خَابَ سِواكَ

So if you wish for a companion, the pain of love will suffice you.

If you want a lover's company, your love sufficed

Whoever attained the purity of union triumphed; none but you failed.

Successful is he who attained the purity of union, none lost but you

أنْكَرَ الحِكمَةَ من لامَكَ جهلاً ونَهَاكَ

أنْكَرَ الحِكمَةَ من لامَكَ جهلاً ونَهَاكَ

Whoever reproached you in ignorance and bade you desist denied wisdom.

Ignorant is he who blamed you, in folly and prohibited you
