سَلاَمٌ عَلَى السُّودِيِّ بَحْرِ الْحَقائِقِ

سَلاَمٌ عَلَى السُّودِيِّ بَحْرِ الْحَقائِقِ

وَمَنْ مَنَحَ الطُّلاَّبَ نَهْجَ الطّرائِقِ

وَمَنْ مَنَحَ الطُّلاَّبَ نَهْجَ الطّرائِقِ

Peace be upon al-Sudi, the sea of truths,

Peace be upon As-Suyuti, the sea of realities,

And upon him who granted students the way of the paths.

And the one who guided students to the path of methods.

أَيا رَحْمَةَ الرَّحْمَنِ حِلّي بِقَبْرِهِ

أَيا رَحْمَةَ الرَّحْمَنِ حِلّي بِقَبْرِهِ

وَدُومِي عَلَيْهِ دَائِماً لا تُفارِقِي

وَدُومِي عَلَيْهِ دَائِماً لا تُفارِقِي

O mercy of the Most Merciful, settle at his grave,

O Mercy of the Merciful, visit his grave,

And remain upon him always; do not depart.

And always remain close to it, never leaving.

وقُولِي لَهُ إنّا نَزَلْنا جِوارَهُ

وقُولِي لَهُ إنّا نَزَلْنا جِوارَهُ

ولِلْجارِ حَقُّ الضَّيْفِ مِنْ كُلِّ سابِقِ

ولِلْجارِ حَقُّ الضَّيْفِ مِنْ كُلِّ سابِقِ

And tell him that we have indeed lodged beside him,

And say to him, we have come to be his neighbors,

And a neighbor is owed a guest's due by everyone who came before.

For a neighbor has the guest's rights, from every preceder.

أَيا رُوحَ عَبْدِ الهادِي الْبَرِّ دُمْتِ في

أَيا رُوحَ عَبْدِ الهادِي الْبَرِّ دُمْتِ في

نَعيمٍ وإكْرامٍ منَ اللهِ خالِقِي

نَعيمٍ وإكْرامٍ منَ اللهِ خالِقِي

O spirit of righteous Abd al-Hadi, may you abide in

O soul of the virtuous servant Abdul Hadi, you remained in

Bliss and honor from God, my Creator.
